Tesla’s namesake is the famous inventor Nikolai Tesla, who is best known for his work with electronics, which is fitting, as Tesla is after all an electric car company. However, the fact that they are the leaders in electronic car technology is not the only reason for their rise to fame. Tesla is known for its unique vision and its CEO, Elon Musk, has a reputation for his passion and drive (pun intended).
With the environment in mind, Tesla vehicles are arguably the way of the future. Not only are their vehicles electric, they are arguably at the front of the pack when it comes to design and luxury.

Although billionaire Elon Musk is the current CEO of Tesla and is often the only name associated with Tesla, he did not found the electric car company. Two men named Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning did.
