Amazing Cars From The 1950’s That Should Never Be Forgotten

The 1950 Jaguar XK120

Prior to 1950, the Jaguar roadsters were all handmade at considerable cost. Those Jaguars featured aluminum bodies, on an ash frame and mounted on Jaguar’s own Mark 5 chassis. But from 1950 onwards things changed and all their roadsters were factory produced and featured steel bodies. However, they did retain their use of aluminum for the doors, boot lid and the bonnet. William Lyons, the owner of Jaguar created this new car design. This model came with a larger 3.4-liter engine and up to 160 horsepower.

This was truly thought to be a highly advanced vehicle for its time and show be remembered as such.
