CRT screens
The majority of newer car models come with computer screens. These days, many drivers rely on their computer screens to change the radio station, control the air conditioner, and even make sure that they don’t drive over a curb using a rear-view camera. Believe it or not, but the first car computer screens were developed in the 1980s.
Touch screens have been around a lot longer than people realise!
However, the technology of the earliest models does not come close to today’s advances. For instance, the first ever screens looked more like an old Atari than today’s smart phones as they were made from simple glass cathode tubes.
