Rusted rides
This trend is one that we thought must have been made up. However, we did some in depth internet research and found that indeed purposely rusting your car is a thing. While the majority of (sane) car owners spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on custom paint jobs, there are a select few who go against the grain and actually remove the car’s paint. They then use a variety of techniques that result in the desired rusted look because really, who doesn’t love that gross, coppery looking chemical reaction?
If you want your car to look like it’s been sitting in the backyard of the neighbourhood hoarder for the last 37 years, why don’t you just buy one of those junkers instead of wasting all the effort and money on doing the work yourself?
Again, it’s unwise to go through with this practice as there is likely only a tiny market of potential buyers wanting this look.
