Fender mirrors

Don’t you miss the idea of mirrors that are mounted on the fender – little side view mirrors? They look very cool, but they also help car drivers to see better.

This design feature was particularly popular with Japanese carmakers like Datsun and Honda. They lasted a while, at least into the Seventies. Unfortunately, that’s when people began to moan about adjusting their mirrors while they driving.

But these days, now that we have mainly electrically controlled mirrors, a revival could easily be on the cards.
