Classic Car Features You Forgot About

Horn Rings

Although it’s now located on the spokes of the steering wheel, the horn was much more conveniently placed in the past.

Before our modern air bag designs shifted the horn button to the spokes, the horn was located in the centre of the steering wheel. While driving, you could simply stretch a digit out to the centre and beep the horn to make a sound to warn other traffic or pedestrians.

Of course, sooner or later the over-thinking penguins at health and safety got rid of another great feature which could easily be returned to modern cars. Believe it or not, this feature was originally added for safety!
