Common Driving Mistakes

Using Your Daylights At Night

Once upon a time, there were no such things are daylights for a car. These days, every car produced has daylights built into the design. Perhaps we think of them as a regular part of every car, so that’s why we forget to turn them off.

That’s right, daylights aren’t designed for evening driving. They don’t provide the same source of illumination that night lights offer. Plus, your tail lights only come on with your night lights and not your daylights.

As soon as it starts to get dark, it’s time to switch to your night lights. Even a little earlier won’t help, as long as you aren’t dazzling anyone. Switching to night lights means that you are more visible and you have greater visibility too. That’ll be a safer situation for you and for the other drivers and pedestrians around your vehicle.
