All in all the list of safety features available on the majority of new cars is great. We are all for having safer cars on the roads. Things like lane-departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, and back up assistance make driving a heck of a lot safer. How can it not be helpful to know what is going on around your car at all times? However, the reality is that the majority of times these specialty features can be a nuisance. Imagine trying to park at the local big box store on a Sunday with a bunch of alerts going. That, in addition to finding a place to park, can be extremely frustrating. Although it is possible to turn off all of these features, doing so it not as easy as it looks. We await the day that a switch that turns of all of these functions is made available.
