Luckily for him, after a ton of agony and having to go back and forth, Mark found out that his insurance company covers claims such as these one. Sadly, the car is essentially totaled and likely not worth saving which is especially unfortunate since it was such a nice car to begin with and Mark did not have it for very long before this incident took place. Mark is still unsure about how to go about making things right and suing the shipping company as, after all, they are the ones at fault in this situation.
Unfortunately, it was several months before Mark’s insurance company finally agreed to pay for the damages to the Boxster S and he was therefore stuck relying on renting a rental car or borrowing his wife’s car. What would you do if you were in that situation? Would you have kept your cool or do you think that you would have lost it when first seeing your car in that condition? Who do you think is responsible for the damages to the car? Do you think that it should be up to Mark’s insurance company to foot the bill?
