Terrible Cars That Should Have Never Been Sold

Chrysler’s TC by Maserati (1989–91)

When Chrysler’s chairman Lee Lacocca and his buddy Alejandro de Tomaso, the president of Maserati, put their heads together; the result was one of the great examples of corporate greed every perpetrated on a paying public.

If you thought you were buying a Maserati – just because the badge was stuck onto the grille, then you were sorely mistaken.

To be honest, the TC did have a few benefits. The TC had a 200 horsepower, turbocharged engine. There was also a decent 5-speed manual gearbox and Fichtel and Sachs dampers to control the wheels.

Yet, for its good points, the TC remains a lemon. About 7000 units were sold over the three years that it was in production.
