Nicknamed the PT Loser by – anyone who drove it – the PT Cruiser was not one of Chrysler’s greatest hits. This car was ugly and distinctly uncool. The PT in the title stood for Personal Transport, which is a weird name for a car. But while drivers hated the PT, they reserved their real hatred for the Cruiser – the convertible model. When the PT looked like it was going to nose dive, Chrysler tried one last time to resurrect it by cutting the roof off the original PT and calling it a convertible. And everyone hated it some more.
