Terrible Cars That Should Have Never Been Sold

Lincoln Continental Mark IV

When people compare cars made in the Seventies to yachts, they are usually referring to the now infamous boat-sized Lincoln Continental Mark 4. They’re still used in films that are set in the Seventies as they are absolute icons of the age.

But the Mark IV was big, tortoise slow, and guzzled gas beyond its usefulness. Funnily enough, back in the 70s, people actually considered this car a luxury vehicle.

But this vehicle was best known for its history of mechanical issues and being an absolute gas guzzler. Eventually, the public got to know its nickname through the press. They called it the ‘hunk of junk’. This car was so big, it was like trying to parallel park an aircraft carrier.
