When you are in a car accident, one of the functions you do not want to malfunction is your airbags. This is where the 2011-2014 200 fails. In the IIHS report, it was stated that , “the side curtain airbag deployed too late during the crash…leaving the dummy’s head vulnerable to contact with side structure and outside objects.” This lack of airbag function lead the 200 to be rated as the most deadly midsize sedan.
