10. 1993 Volvo 850
In an attempt to move away from the boxy look of the 240, Volvo came out with the 850 equipped with a 5-cylinder transverse-mounted engine. At the time, this modern sedan was known as being one of the most reliable cars of its time. Although over 20 years old, those who still own a 1993 850 will report that they are still going strong. One piece of trivia about the 850 is that it was Volvo’s first car to be made available with front-wheel-drive and came in two varieties, the four-door saloon or five-door estate. Regardless of which variety, the 850 lasts essentially forever.
