12. 1998-2011 Ford Crown Victoria
For the span of almost 15 years, from 1998 to 2011, the Ford Crown Victoria as well as the Mercury Marquis were known to be extremely reliable. They came equipped with sturdy body-on-frame construction, solid rear axle, and an impressive V8 engine. Due to their durability, they were often used by many police forces as well as taxi companies. Many Crown Victorias are available used for under $10,000, although later sales went straight to fleets. You also shouldn’t have a problem finding replacement parts. Be careful though before purchasing a former police car version as you may be breaking a bylaw doing so.
