The 300 SEL 6.3 laid the foundations for the S-Classes of the future. It was considerably longer than the 300S, but it featured considerably better performance all round. The 6.3L V8 engine gave it 250 horsepower and drove this combination of luxury and sports performance onto the world stage and into our Top 30 Mercedes.
