The Seven Least Reliable Cars Of 2017

CHRYSLER 200

In 2010, Chrysler Motors introduced the Chrysler 200. It is a very attractive car that is very modern in appearance. Beauty is only skin deep. The components of this car come from several sources and thus don’t always gell in the finished product. The platform is derived from the Alfa Romeo (Giulietta). This Alfa is a notoriously poorly made car.

Entry and egress are both poor. The trunk is tiny. More importantly the engine stalls without warning, the 9-speed ZF transmission shifts poorly and is known to fail completely. Due to these problems, the depreciation of this vehicle has been astounding. The Chrysler 200 and the related Dodge Dart were so problematic that production of both was halted in Fall 2016. These two models have are the biggest financial burden for Fiat Chrysler. This is due to the deluge of warranty claims.
