Renault 16TL
The normally stylish French were absent during the 1970s. The Renault 16TL is a great example of just how wrong one can get car design. It’s back end looked like it was carrying a coffin and the front like a punch drunk boxer. People who bought this car were sorely disappointed and have cursed the French car industry ever since. No wonder only the ever stylish Peugeot has remained popular in the U.S.
