The Chevette – there’s a special place in hell reserved for the designers of this car. If GM hadn’t already made a pretty terrible car, they then went and added a whole lot of wood to it. Then they did such a bad job of constructing the car, you’d think it was a child’s toy. Bizarrely, in 1979, it was so popular it was the best selling car. But then again, the Lava lamp was also popular in 1979, and well… yeah.
