What Made It So Awful: Even though the Chevrolet Cavalier was a truly horrible car, Ford tried to copy it. The Tempo was Ford’s answer to a popular little lemon. Actually, no one needed to answer the Cavalier, it was junk. No one liked the Ford Tempo either. So maybe they did succeed in rivalling the Cavalier – but for the wrong reasons! It was better off left on the drawing board. Sadly it wasn’t and thousands now litter the junkyards of America.
