What Made It So Awful: No one like the Triumph TR7. So when Triumph tried to clone a Honda and make their own version – the Acclaim they couldn’t fall any further. While in production and out on the sales lot, it did nothing to help Triumph. The Acclaim was really the death rattle of the company after 97 years. It’s a shame they didn’t get to their Century, but making sad little cars like this was part of their downfall.
