94 octanes makes my car faster.
One thing it does do for sure is make your wallet lighter. The thing is, different manufactures make different engines with different specifications. The higher the compression ratio of your engine the higher the octane you can use. It’s that simple. If your engine has a lower compression ratio you can use the minimum grade with no real need to spend any more money. In your gas tank flap there is usually a minimum octane level required, technically going up from that shouldn’t be an issue but going the other way is ill advised especially over the long term.
If you got money to burn, well go for it, but putting a higher octane in a car that doesn’t require it is really not going to give you any real tangible benefit.
