10 Signs That Customers Are Lying to the Car Salesperson

They Stare at You

You might want to take this as a sign that you are looking exceptionally good on this certain day, but the reality is that someone is much more likely to be lying to you than being lost in your eyes. Some people who are more skilled and/or more comfortable with lying may try and look you directly in the eyes so that they give you the impression that they are being truthful (instead of looking away as was mentioned before). This is more likely to take place after being asked for a special deal or a discount. In a sense these customers are trying to trick you into believing that they are worthy and deserving of such things.

They Cover Body Parts

Although not at common, if someone is trying to cover body parts it might be an indicator that they are lying to you. For instance they might put on a scarf in order to hide the fact that their chest is flushed due to nerves related to lying to you. This choice to cover up body parts including the throat or abdomen may not be a conscious choice, but is something that we as humans do without thinking.
