Lowest-Rated Large Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade
You would think that Luxury cars come with a certain standard of safety. You would imagine that SUVs require a safety standard that’s up there with the best. But the Cadillac Escalade, the lowest rated luxury SUV on this list has neither.
But then again, perhaps the Cadillac Escalade just isn’t up to scratch any more. It might have once been considered a top class SUV. But these days, you would be pressed to find any automotive expert willing to use the word luxury in the same sentence.
Experts say that the handling on this SUV is awkward and stiff. They also claim that it no longer has even the most fundamental elements to compete with other luxury SUVs.
When Consumer Reports tested the Cadillac Escalade, they found it didn’t really make the grade. Despite being a big vehicle, somehow they’ve made it feel immensely tight for space inside. The second row of seats is particularly uncomfortable, and the third row is devoid of leg room altogether.
And let’s not even get started on the infotainment system. It’s considered to be one of the poorest providers of information or entertainment in any road vehicle available in the whole automobile industry.
But what has really killed this car is it abysmal safety standards and the lowest ranking vehicle in this class. Plus it comes with an $85,000 price tag. Cramped, poor safety, big price. No thanks.
