Cars With The Worst Safety Ratings

Lowest-Rated Family SUV: Dodge Journey

This Dodge survives in the market based purely on its affordability. As a family SUV, it’s rock bottom for safety. It’s cheap compared to other sports utility vehicles, but it scores low in safety tests on almost every level.

Its interior is very cramped. It handles worse than a supermarket trolley and its V6 engine offers by far the worst fuel economy of any vehicle in its class.

As if that didn’t make the Dodge Journey unappealing enough, the Journey has seriously below average scores for reliability and in the IIHS small-overlap front crash test results are simply awful.

As you might expect, Dodge offers deep discount for this cut-priced safety lemon. But don’t be tempted by their offers, this SUV is not worth taking a risk.
