Lowest-Rated Mid-sized Sedan: Chrysler 200
Perhaps you knew there would be more than one Chrysler on this list. And yes, that’s true, the Chrysler 200 has made it as the lowest safety rated mid-sized Sedan car.
The Chrysler 200 has done its best to compete with the Chrysler MiniVan on this list, the Town & Country and has performed just as badly in safety and overall.
What’s truly awful for Chrysler is that this car competes in a category with some phenomenal vehicles. Chrysler struggles to sell this lump of lard when the other cars it’s competing with are all reliable giants of safety and performance.
Back in the 1970s, Chrysler had another bad period of manufacturer when it kept producing lemon after lemon. The Chrysler 200 takes us back to those ‘glory’ days of dreadful car after dreadful car.
Critics say that it’s a clumsy drive, with an underwhelming engine and a willfully disobedient transmission. Look in the back of the car and you’ll see a terrifying lack of space. Passengers might be better off driving in the trunk, or perhaps the glove box.
If you still haven’t been put off by this tin can on wheels, the Chrysler 200 scores the absolute lowest road test score for this class of car and its reliability rating wasn’t any better at all.
No matter how low the price, or how deep the discount, do not under any circumstances buy this car.
