Bench seats
One of our favourites and this one had a long old history. According to records, the bench seats were still being used in cars until 2013! That’s when General Motors decided to give their new Chevrolet Impala bucket seats instead of benches.
Many blame the death of the bench type seat on safety concerns, or a general lack of love for the bench design, others accuse manual gears for ruining all the fun.
For decades, it was possible for two people to sit together and for young lovers to cuddle up with each other while out for a drive.
