Cutting-Edge Features You Don’t Want in Your New Car

Auto-dimming/brightening head lights

Although this one admittedly sounds good in theory, it really just misses the mark when it comes to day to day usability. Don’t get us wrong, we understand the motivation behind wanting to reduce the risk of impeding the vision of the driver in the car coming in your direction in oncoming traffic with your high beams. We also get wanting to be safer when driving on roads that are dimly lit. However, automatic high beams might not be the answer to all of our problems because the reality is they aren’t always able to determine when some extra illumination is needed. Sometimes us mere humans can get the job done right better than machines can. For instance, we don’t tend to get confused by things like reflective road signs and LED-lit crosswalks.
