Cutting-Edge Features You Don’t Want in Your New Car

Tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)

We all know it can be annoying to be driving only to learn that the pressure in one of your tires is low. However, the invention of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) are totally unnecessary. We get that it might be good to know when our tires are getting low on air. However, it isn’t really essential to have real time displays of tire pressure at all times. Moreover, if it happens to get super cold out and you just so happen to lose a few pounds per square inch (the unit that is used to measure the amount of air pressure exerted inside a tire, also known as PSI) your car might overreact if it happens to be equipped with a TPMS. Honestly, the way we see it is that people have been able to live their lives happily driving before this technology was invented; therefore, they should continue to be fine when it comes to assessing whether or not your air pressure is low. We have also heard horror stories that can occur when one of these expensive sensors detach or, even worse, stops working properly.
