Chevrolet has made some of the sexiest cars ever created. But when the Chevy Chevette came on the scene in 1976, it dropped a real stinker. The Chevette is considered to be one of the ugliest and worst to ever leave a factory.

While some historical flops have attracted fan clubs after their demise, no such love is shown towards the Chevrolet Chevette. The car’s power managed only a puny 51 horsepower. It had a loud engine that you were never sure of whether it would get you to your destination without breaking down. Perhaps some people remember owning one of these rust buckets in college, but more people remember them from the long trips the garage to get them fixed.
