1. 1944-1986 Jeep CJ
It shouldn’t be a surprise to you reading this by now that early Jeeps are some of the most reliable vehicles ever made. The CJ is just one example and was first released as a version of the Willys Jeep that was ubiquitous during WWII but now made available for the everyday driver. First released as a prototype in the year 1944, not much as changed since then (you know that they say, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it). You can’t go wrong regardless of year or model. It is also beneficial that there are so many variations available including a two-door SUV, convertible, and pickup version.
It wasn’t until the Wrangler was released that the CJ lost its spot at the top of the list for supreme vehicle. Don’t shy away from purchasing a vintage model if you happen to come across one on the used market since they keep going and going. We wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there is one sitting in a garage or barn in need of only minor repairs and/or maintenance near you.
