It was recorded by the Guiness Book of World Records in 2010 as the smallest production car ever made. It had no reverse gear but had a handle on the rear so you could lift and turn it manually. It sold for 199 pounds. In its final year, its price was 1400 pounds. Only 50 were produced of which 27 still exist. One sold recently at auction for $350, 000 US. At 1372 mm (54 inches) long and 991 mm (39 inches) wide and a kerb weight of 59 kg (130 pound), the P50 holds the record as the smallest car to go into production. With a 4.2 hp engine the top speed was 61 km per hour (38mph) and 0 to 60 time of never. The P50 is road legal in England and the United States. In many countries it is classified as a moped.
