The Worst Polluting Cars On The Road Today

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

This list mainly contains big vehicles like muscle cars or sports utility vehicles. Well, this Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is another big old muscle car. The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) has given this one a fuel economy score of 22 miles per gallon on the open road. That’s impressive compared to the Chevrolets, but still abysmal for the planet.

This one breathes out 1.22 pounds of environmentally harmful carbon dioxide every mile it travels. The Hellcat is going straight to ecological Hell.

But you have to understand why the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is such a villain. It’s supercharged V8 engine is capable of 700 horsepower. SEVEN hundred! It’s real powerful. And it’s real fast too, it’s capable of a high speeds of up 200 miles per hour.

And for all that power and speed, then drivers are willing to ignore the horrible environmental record that the car has and just focus on the positive. And it is a beautiful looking power house of a vehicle. Just a shame that it poisons the planet with every mile.
